Yesterday was day 20 of the rewilding sadhana I started, made it half way!!! 😃 I want to share what I have noticed and learned so far from committing to a daily activity that I consider to serve my „rewilding“ (what I mean by that see post on the Rewilding Sadhana).
The most surprising (but also rather obvious) thing was – I did not only do it but also post about it every day and therefore spend considerable time on instagram. When I was doing something, I was also thinking about taking a good picture or how I would write about it, what is an interesting point to make with this… and that sometimes brought me away from being really present for the moment itself. So I have also learned a lot about how much space I want to give social media in my life. Even though it’s wonderful to share with all of you here, I want to be careful not to sacrifice my moments of presence. Has that happened to you before? What is your compromise or strategy?
I have also noticed that WHEN I make a moment with any of the activities I have posted about and am really present with it – which means for me to experience with my whole body, not only from the head, and be in a state of „flow“ when I don’t think in analytic words about what I am doing anymore – it’s so good for me. For me it seems to happen most easily when communing wirth plants. (Also when I teach, yoga or in school/tutoring, but that’s a different story…). My encounters with roses and elder and hawthorn and rowan and nettles and tomatoes… These moments just make me so effortlessly happy and glowing. I am so thankful for all the gifts and friends growing out there. 💚🥰✨
And maybe for you the thing that gets you there easiest is something else, maybe it’s dancing or singing or crystals or exercise or meditation in stillness… whatever it is, I hope you know it and I want to invite you to make time for it Today, even if it’s only 3 minutes.
